If you’re having trouble adding your linkinbio to TikTok, it’s likely because your account doesn’t meet the platform’s criteria for adding a clickable website link in your bio.
Unlike Instagram or Twitter, TikTok restricts this feature to specific accounts. Not everyone can include a clickable link in their profile — only certain accounts are eligible. Here’s what you need to qualify:
1. You need a TikTok Business Account
The first step is switching your account to a Business Account. Personal accounts are not allowed to add clickable links in their bios — they can only include links to other social platforms.
To switch to a Business Account:
• Open the TikTok app and go to your profile
• Tap the menu icon in the top right corner
• Select Settings and Privacy
• Choose Manage Account, then tap Switch to Business Account
2. You must have at least 1,000 followers
The second requirement is reaching a follower count of 1,000. Until you hit this number, TikTok won’t unlock the Website field in your profile.
Even after you hit 1,000 followers, it might take a little while for the clickable link option to appear. Some users report waiting a couple of days before the feature becomes available — so if it doesn’t show up immediately, be patient.
Both conditions must be met
To add a clickable website link in your TikTok bio, both of these conditions must be fulfilled:
• You must be using a Business Account
• You must have 1,000 or more followers
Only then will TikTok allow you to add a functional, clickable link in your biography.
Alternatives
If you don't have these requirements the best solutions is to add a non-clickable, very short link, like our own ln.ki/user so that people can re-type it. More info on this video
